Silver Lake Park

Rochester, Minnesota

Silver Lake Park spans 134 acres in the heart of Rochester. The park has been a hub for community gathering since 1937, providing a place for people to connect to nature in the city and spend time with family and friends. As part of a park-wide redesign, an area at the confluence of Silver Creek and the Zumbro River will have an Indigenous Gathering Space. Full Circle is co-designing this space with the Greater Rochester Area Dakota Supporters (GRADS) group and other regional Indigenous Tribal members. The space is envisioned for use as a gathering or ceremony space and ongoing collaboration has resulted in a concept design and long-term aspirational vision for the site.
