The design team worked with the TVCDC to complete a feasibility study for the implementation of sustainable energy on its thirty-four acre development in the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation. The Feasibility Study identified potential options for sustainable energy, the amount of sustainable energy and storage needed to achieve “net-zero,” to identify specific funding opportunities for construction of energy production facilities, explore the legal and regulatory framework for implementation of an off-grid community and energy production within the Pine Ridge Reservation, presented relevant case studies and precedents that identify funding, legal and regulatory opportunities, and discussed the environmental impacts of proposed sustainable energy projects.
